I took a sick day today. I have not felt great all week and it just worked out to be a good mental health day. It was a perfect day; I slept in, read a little, played some Candy Crush (I wave my fist at you game), got through a million (or so) e-mails, listened to some podcasts. In other words, I did nothing.

There is definitely something to be said about doing nothing. I don’t get to do this very often. We stay pretty busy in the Kirscher house. My brain does not turn off when things need to be done around here. Today was not that day. Today was an immerse myself in social media kind of day. Today was a read all about and be jealous that I am not at Comic Con kind of day. It was a fall down the rabbit hole kind of day. I love today!

So take some time for yourself sometimes. Do nothing. It might be a little hard to do, but I promise that it will feel good. I think that sometimes we get so wrapped up in the day-to-day life and those around us that we push ourselves to the back burner. At least I know that I do. Your goal for this weekend- eat a cupcake, watch something ridiculous on TV (SYFY is rerunning Sharknado!!!), walk your dogs. Do a little bit of nothing.
